Micro Markers in Emotion-Focused Therapy: Deepening Attunement, Even in Silence

What are clients saying when they’re not speaking?

Whether you’re just beginning your journey with Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) or looking to refine your skills, this class offers a powerful way in.

Some clients struggle to find words. Others hesitate, shift tone, or go quiet. These moments, often subtle and easily missed, can hold profound emotional significance. In this training, you’ll learn to recognise and respond to the micromarkers that signal emotional depth, stuckness, and can be portals to transformation.

This class is for you if you’ve ever wondered:

  • What do I do when a client goes quiet or gets stuck?
  • How do I attune more deeply and confidently to what’s happening beneath the surface?
  • How can I hold space in a way that feels meaningful and safe, even when words aren’t flowing?

This training will help you:

  • Tune into vocal shifts, pauses, and hesitations
  • Recognise emotionally poignant moments and respond with resonance
  • Build confidence in working with clients who are less verbal or emotionally blocked
  • Use micromarkers to deepen your understanding of a client’s internal world
  • Hold space with presence and precision, even in silence

Whether you’re new to EFT or looking to expand your practice, this class offers practical tools and embodied insight to help you feel more grounded, attuned, and effective in your work.

This training constitutes 4 hours of CPD.
