Diversity & Inclusivity Scholarships
The AIEFT offers two Diversity & Inclusivity scholarships each year, aimed at financially supporting student therapists and early career mental health professionals from minority groups. The AIEFT is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusivity within the field of Emotion Focused Therapy and wishes to promote a more equitable workforce.
The scholarship is for one, or both, of the following:
- Credit of 50% towards Participation in Emotion Focused Therapy Level One
- Credit of 50% towards Participation in Emotion Focused Therapy Level Two
To apply for the scholarship, you will:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- be from an identified minority community (e.g. First Nations, LGBTQ+)
- require financial assistance in order to participant in AIEFT training
- be a student working towards accreditation as a mental health professional and be able to provide proof of enrolment (e.g., psychology, social work, counselling)
OR
- be an early career mental health professional and able to provide proof of accreditation (e.g. AHPRA, PACFA, ACA or equivalent regulatory body).
- Submit their application one month prior to the course start date(s).
Please note, scholarship applications close 2 months before the start of the relevant training date. Applicants will be notified of the outcome at least 1 month prior to the relevant training start date.
