EFT Supervision – Individual & Group

 

What is EFT Individual Supervision?

 

EFT supervision is a process-based supervision that is distinctive from other forms of supervision for having a focus on the therapy process moment by moment. This is done by reviewing recordings of your therapy sessions with clients, to observe and supervise the actual psychotherapy process, the client-therapist interaction and the experiential process of the client. Your audiovisual recordings are reviewed with your EFT supervisor to provide support, feedback and learning to achieve competency in the practice of EFT.

 

Who is EFT supervision for?

 

EFT individual supervision is required for becoming certified as an EFT therapist. Trainees working toward certification are required to perform a minimum of 16 hours of individual supervision with a certified EFT Supervisor.

 

But not all EFT supervisees aim for certification. Some chose to perform EFT supervision to learn more about using EFT and to improve the competency of their EFT practice. EFT supervision helps apply the practical and theoretical foundational learnings of the training to your practice as a therapist.

Online EFT Group Supervision

 

Members of the AIEFT have access to online EFT group supervision. Groups are run by certified EFT supervisors and are capped at 6 members. They run for 90 minutes and are held once a month. Like individual supervision they are based on the practice of EFT as the main focus and involve group participants reviewing tapes of actual therapy sessions. Groups are designed to be mutually supportive and encouraging and are a great way to learn more about EFT and how to begin applying EFT training to your work with clients.
